From a mechanics shop to a full-service rental fleet
J. Connelly Rental grew from mechanical roots into a full-service equipment rental company. The business has changed over the years, but the focus has stayed consistent: dependable equipment, knowledgeable people, and service customers can count on.
Early years
Mechanical roots
Mr. J. Connelly began his commercial career at age 29 by opening a mechanics shop. That hands-on mechanical background helped shape the equipment-first approach that later became J. Connelly Rental.
Early growth
The first rentals
In time, Mr. Connelly and his business partners began renting lift trucks. From there, they gradually added more tools and equipment, creating the foundation for J. Connelly Rental Ltd.
Family business
Built from a small team
The company started with only two employees, including Mr. Connelly himself. A few years later, Mrs. Manon Goyet joined as secretary-receptionist. Through steady work and dependable service, the business built a loyal customer base.
2006
A new ownership chapter
In 2006, Mr. Connelly brought full ownership of J. Connelly Rental Ltd. back under his direction while the company continued to grow.
2019
The next generation
In 2019, Junior and Jason Connelly took over the company from their uncle. Working with an experienced team of employees and technicians, they continued the family-run approach while growing the company’s rental, service, and support capabilities.
